A revolutionary web 2.0 startup in Los Angeles is looking for two uber-talented candidates to join its core team. If you are tired of working the agency or corporate route, here's an opportunity to become one of the first five members of a cutting edge startup. This will be a very exciting time as we are planning to launch the site in the Fall. Your portfolio is key for this position, you must show that you have the chops to run with the pack.
Either position can be PART-TIME or FULL-TIME, depends on your level of commitment. The positions would also be work from home office with occasional face-to-face meetings.
Will accept COLLEGE STUDENTS or RECENT GRADS, if you have the skills, you have the skills.
POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR : Web Designer
Your main goal is to aid with the graphic layout of the site either creating new concepts for page layout or updating existing page schemas. Looking for candidate who is familiar with web2.0 design styles and has portfolio that expresses this. Candidate should be flexible with ideas, communicates effectively on design concepts and project expectations, and has professional but fun attitude.
Skills checklist :
- Experience Coding CSS, HTML, Javascript
- Knowledgeable with HTML standards
- Experience with browser compatibilities
- Expert Photoshop User
- Familiar with AJAX and other web2.0 tricks
- Ability to design amazing websites!
POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR : Web Developer
Your main goal is to add addition functionality to site and to optimize some existing code. Looking for the LAMP guru who understands how to optimize and scale a website for production. Your PHP, MYSQL, and LINUX knowledge should border on nerdom. Candidate should be flexible with ideas, communicates effectively on programming concepts/styles and project expectations, and has professional but fun attitude.
Skills checklist :
- Experience Coding PHP4.0 > , CSS, HTML, Javascript, XML
- Knowledgeable with setting up blogs, forums, RSS, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of MYSQL 4.0>
- Thorough knowledge of LINUX/APACHE 2.0>
- Knowledgeable with HTML standards
- Experience with browser (in)compatibilities
- Familiar with AJAX and other web2.0 tricks
- Ability to code web3.0 websites!
